Where the Heart is.

I grew up in a semi-rural township north of Pretoria called Ga-Rankuwa. Ga-Rankuwa is an old township established in the 60s for mainly farming communities and families that were removed and relocated from their homes, as the case was for many communities back then. My family has lived here for three generations….

I have lived outside of my home for over seven years and realise how enchanting home of mine can be. It’s slow pace, friendly, open and laid back atmosphere sometimes gives the sense that the neighbourhood is stuck in an era long forgotten.

These are some images I have captured of my home and surrounding areas that I find myself when I am home……
